Will aluminum cladding stand up to our coastal climate?
In Vancouver’s challenging weather, aluminum outperforms virtually every alternative. Unlike wood or composite materials, aluminum won’t absorb moisture, swell, crack or delaminate. Many of our installations from the early 2000s still look as crisp and clean as the day they were completed—despite two decades of coastal rain, wind and salt exposure.
I've seen wavy metal panels. Will that happen to my home?
That waviness (called “oil-canning” in the industry) happens with standard sheet metal and some composite panels.
